I'm the owner and lead designer of Emily Rose florist. Yes, Emily Rose is my real name--a question I get a lot so let's just get that one out of the way:) When I am not busy flowering weddings and events I enjoy spending time with my family with a good cup of coffee in hand. I love a challenge and feel most at peace when I am doing things for others. I enjoy decorating, have a strong passion for a perfectly curated wardrobe and appreciate a lovely dinner party.
I began my floral journey over a decade ago when I took a leap of faith and opened a retail floral shop in a small town right before the bottom fell out of the economy. Determined to create beautiful things with little concern on the minimal profit I was making, was where I found my true calling. Exploring color palettes and working with consumers to help them create floral gifts they were proud to give, and my most favorite, bridal bouquets that brides were elated to carry.
After 12 years in the industry, I uncovered my true passion of being a wedding and special event florist. I love connecting with people to uncover their sense of what is beautiful, and working to create exactly that for their special day! With my experience, I can offer direction on how to navigate the planning process so it feels less like work and more like fun. I can't wait to hear all about your very special day, and how we together will make it look unforgettable!
Being a florist is so much more than just creating pretty bouquets. It details, direction and professionalism. It's long weekends and long days. It tears of joy and sore fingers. It's running your hands through the miracle of nature and never getting tired of the beauty. It's a lifestyle that I am so thankful that I have been blessed to live.
Our why is to provide beautifully curated floral arrangements that make your wedding stand alone. We believe every petal has a purpose and high quality blooms paired with hard work create beautiful results. We believe every bride is different, and every event is unique--our why is you!
